Forty-Three Percent Of Hungarians Would Re-Elect Orbán
Forty three percent of Hungarian voters would re-elect the incumbent prime minister if elections were held now, according to a survey by the Nézőpont Institute. Support for Viktor Orbán in June was higher than for the other six opposition contenders combined.

Gábor Vona of the radical nationalist Jobbik party is backed by 8%, followed by Gergely Karácsony of the Dialogue party with 6%, and Ferenc Gyurcsány of the leftist Democratic Coalition and Bernadett Szél of LMP with 5% both.

László Botka of the Socialists is supported by 3% and Liberal leader Gábor Fodor by 1% of respondents. Fully 97% of ruling Fidesz voters would re-elect Orbán.

Vona is backed by 77% among Jobbik supporters while the Socialist voters are divided: 34% of them would prefer to see Gyurcsány and 19% Botka as prime minister Nézőpont surveyed a representative sample of 1,000 voting-age adults by phone between June 6 and 8.
