Sale Of Magyar Nemzet Now Less Likely
Businessman Lajos Simicska and newly elected LMP MP Péter Ungár will begin negotiations on the sale of Magyar Nemzet on Monday, HVG writes.

The weekly says Ungár has already made a serious offer.

However, the website Átlátszó reports that the deal may be off, as negotiations between Ungár and Simicska’s publishing firm Nemzet Kiadó have reached an impasse.

Nemzet did not respond to queries, while Ungár parried the question, citing the ongoing negotiations.

Meanwhile, Hungarian media entrepreneur Pál Milkovics on Thursday withdrew his offer of Wednesday to buy Magyar Nemzet.

He declared that he has no offshore business interests or accounts and is not a front for anybody.

London-based Schwartz Capital, owned by Milkovics, had approached the publisher to initiate talks towards a possible deal, a source close to Simicska told Napi.
