Liberty Bridge Closed For Picnic
On four consecutive weekends from July 14, until August 5, this key Budapest bridge will be closed for traffic to let pedestrians picnic there if they wish, deputy mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky said.

She said the project was launched in 2016 as a grassroots initiative, it has come to attract large crowds.

As in previous years there will be local bands playing there above the Danube, plus flamenco and swing dancers, zumba, salsa and yoga on 'Szabadság Híd'.
