Széna Square Modernisation Ahead
The modernisation of Széna tér in Budapest is expected to start in June 2019 and is planned to be completed by late 2020.

Budapest city council on Wednesday approved the documents necessary for designing and implementing the modernisation.

The goal is to move a bus terminal from the square and renew the area to make the square as large and green a public space as possible.

Noise and air pollution are expected to decrease as a result of the facelift.

The overall cost of the project is about Ft 2.5 billion.
