Bátor Tábor is a member of the SeriousFun Childrens’ Network Camp Association founded by Paul Newman in 1988.

Bátor Tábor has been providing healing moments since 2001. It is more than a camp. It brings joy and sunshine into the lives of children and families who must face a severe or chronic illness. We give strength and courage in difficult situations through play and fun.

Since 2001 more than 25 000 impacted children, their families and classmates attended our programs.

We have been supporting the mental health of children struggling with severe and chronic illnesses and their families, thus providing them an opportunity for a more fulfilled life. During our programs the ill children, their parents, siblings, classmates can rediscover their own power, capabilities and the healing power of the community.

We are there with the children from the moment they are diagnosed in the hospital until they readjust in school. We develop the empathy, tolerance and helpfulness of the community. We help to establish a healthier society in the four countries (Hungary, Czechia, Poland and Slovakia), where we work.

We believe that the sun always shines above the clouds.

In 2025, we aim to make a life-changing impact on more than 3,500 people - seriously or chronically ill children, their families, and their classmates. Help us achieve this goal!
