Summer Music Festival At Vajdahunyad Castle Until 2 August
For the 27th time in this splendid Renaissance setting, this year until 2 August, music-lovers can enjoy symphony concerts as well as performances by Budapest Bar, the 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra, and the Sabbathsong Klezmer Band.

The summer’s most refreshing series of classical music concerts offers a special musical experience every Monday and Thursday in the “auditorium” set up in the Károlyi court where you can relax outdoors and listen to music of Tchaikovsky, Bach, Beethoven or Vivaldi.

The series traditionally opens with a Tchaikovsky evening given by the King Saint Stephen Symphony Orchestra on 2nd July. It is followed by the MÁV Symphony Orchestra and soloist Ingrid Kertesi, conducted by Suhan Ji (South Korea).

The Hungarian Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra has chosen a programme of best-loved works of Vivaldi, Verdi and Tchaikovsky. The MÁV Symphony Orchestra’s second concert will be a Beethoven evening with a violin solo by Vilmos Szabadi.

The series also includes performances by the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra (Mozart evening), the Musica Sonora Chamber Orchestra (J. S. Bach - A. Vivaldi – F. Schubert) and the Budapest Strings (Baroque evening).

Besides the classical music concerts you can also enjoy the Sabbathsong Klezmer Band (16th July), Budapest Bar (30th July) and the 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra (2nd August) in the same atmospheric location in City Park.

Romantic evenings spiced with quality music: at the 27th Vajdahunyad Castle Summer Music Festival in July!
