Budapest Bank Unveils Contactless Payments
Budapest Bank is offering contact-less mobile phone payment solutions to its customers from Monday, the state-owned bank has announced.

Clients must have smartphones and a Mastercard or Maestro card. Currently the app is only available for Android systems.

Currently only Gránit Bank, OTP Bank, MKB and K&H Bank offer contact-less smartphone payment solutions in Hungary.

    Hungary's score on the Mastercard Digital Payment Index has reached 63 on a scale of 1 to 100. Hungary's score on the index, which assesses the digitalisation of consumer payments in the areas of market readiness, digital payment adoption and consumer knowledge and attitudes, improved twelve points in five years, Mastercard said.
