World Chess Festival Budapest, National Gallery, 13 October
The Global Chess Festival, based on an idea of former female world chess champion Judit Polgár, will be hosted for the fourth time on October 13, this time at the National Gallery.

Hundreds of locations will join the event online from around the world.

The event features professional chess tournaments, simultaneous chess games, art shows, educational conferences and various entertainments.

Polgár observed that there is a deep link between chess and art, as both require creativity in ordering the world.

Polgár said organisers would primarily like to present the diversity of chess, and that many families are invited to this free event.
