Mangalica Festival Budapest, 8 – 10 February
The 12th annual Mangalica Festival - a special Hungarian pig feast - takes place in the heart of Budapest in the 5th district at Szabadság Square. Admission is free.

One of the most popular parts of the festival is the live animal section, and this year there will be three special kinds of mangalica - blonde, red, and swallow-belly - on show, plus a mother with her baby pigs too.

More from the organisers:

Next to the breeders we give the opportunity to the Hungarian craftsmen and artists to introduce themselves in the Hand-crafted Goods Street section of the festival.

Visitors can find on spot roasted whole pigs and locally made Mangalica products served with the finest Hungarian wines and schnapps while listening to live music concerts.

We also provide live shows on the central stage all day long: authentic folk music, comedy, gastro shows during the day and live music in the evening.

On Saturday there is the traditional kettle-made cooking contest.

Date and time: 8 – 10 February, 9 am – 7 pm
