Bill Bans Personal Use Of Company IT In Hungary
IT equipment provided by employers must be used for work purposes only, according to a new bill filed in Parliament by Justice Minister László Trócsányi.

The amendment is part of a long list of measures intended to adjust Hungarian regulations to EU law.

The motion would ban personal use by employees of computers, mobile phones and other IT equipment owned by their employers.

Existing regulations allow personal use if the employer does not regulate otherwise.

Employers already have the right to check online activities by their employees on equipment provided by the company.
