Hungary Increases Permit Quotas For Non-EU Workers
The Finance Minister has raised the work permit quota for citizens from third countries to 57,000 from 55,000, according to Mfor, citing official journal Hivatalos Értesítő.

In order to address the labour shortage, the government launched a programme last year to allow companies to employ Ukrainian guest workers.

The campaign cost Ft 500 million and resulted in the entry of 5,000 Ukrainian guest workers to the Hungarian labour market.

The quota for foreign nationals from countries outside of the EU was 59,000 in 2017.
