Hungarian Government To Limit Free Company Data
The government will limit the scope of free company data available to the public, according to a section of a mixed bill filed in Parliament on Tuesday, news website G7 discovered.

The availability of basic company information online aids the work of investigative journalists, G7 underlined.

The government is “rethinking the scope of publicly available free company data” because of “abuses” the bill says.

The new range of available information will be defined later.

Requests will be free only to users who identify themselves and the number of monthly free requests will be limited.

Otherwise a fee must be paid for the information service, according to the bill.
