Blue-White Chain Bridge & Ceilidh-Flashmob To Celebrate St Andrew’s Day On 29 Nov
- 29 Nov 2019 4:16 AM
The iconic Chain Bridge will be lit up again this year in blue and white, the colours of the Saltire or Saint Andrew’s Cross to mark St Andrew’s Day, Scotland’s National Day.
Following last year’s success, this time the organisers are preparing even more surprises: in addition to Scottish bagpipe music, there will also be some Scottish dancing.
This year this ceremony coincides with the 170th Anniversary of the Chain Bridge.
So you’re welcome to celebrate St Andrew’s Day and the Birthday of the Chain Bridge together at Eötvös square, 1051 Budapest.
Timing: from 4pm there will be Bagpipe music, then a ceilidh-flashmob, followed by turning on the lights of the bridge at approx. 4:15pm.
See below for a video from last year.
