Jazz Talents @ Budapest Palace Of Arts, 8 – 10 February
This is the 12th event in a series of what is recognised as Central Europe’s most important gathering of up and coming jazz talents.

Just like last year, enthusiasts of the genre will be sure to meet some fascinating promising performers at the 2019 Jazz Showcase. Once again, the young musicians will play before a jury of renowned international masters of their art while the best of them will be invited back to Müpa’s stage.

There will be no shortage of large-scale events this year either: the Párniczky Quartet – whose music draws on jazz, contemporary classical music and Hungarian folk music – will hit the stage with bass player Carlos Bica, who was named musician of the year in Portugal this year.

As well as another guest musician, ECHO Jazz prize holder percussion artist Dejan Terzić, some frenetic jazz performances may also be expected of Solati Music, an ensemble founded by renowned jazz pianist Árpád Tzumo, with guest performer Ferenc Snétberger.

While the Karosi Júlia Quartet will entertain their audience in the company of Ben Monder, one of the hottest guitarist of New York’s jazz scene these days.
