Budapest Chinese Festival Cancelled Due To Virus
The outbreak of the coronavirus has led to the cancellation of Lunar New Year festivals in China and Chinese communities in Europe, including Budapest.

Chinatown Budapest and the Hungarian-Chinese Cultural Association have decided to postpone the Chinese Spring Festival originally planned for February 1-2 at the Monori Centre Budapest.

The Wuhan coronavirus has already resulted in at least 80 fatalities, and is spreading at an alarming rate, reportedly infecting nearly 800 people in just half a day.

There have been no reports of the virus in Hungary.
