Shopping Hours Dedicated For Elderly Suspended In Hungary
Hungarian government suspended the shopping time zone for seniors, in effect from 12 December, in order to ensure that there is no crowd in stores during Christmas shopping.

The suspension shall remain in force until a decision to the contrary is taken.

According to a decision proposed by Trade Organizations and the Council for the Elderly, anyone can shop in grocery stores, pharmacies and drugstores from Saturday without time limit.

However, please note that it is still mandatory to wear the mask when shopping.

Seniors are suggested to ask their relatives for help with their shopping if possible, but if they have go to the shops themselves, they should avoid crowded places.

Shopping malls and shops can still be open until 19:00 at the latest, taking into account the curfew valid from 8 pm to 5 am.
