Tribal Market Budapest: Indie Shopping & Jungle Vibes, 19 September
- 2 Sep 2026 11:25 AM
Running from noon until 8pm at Dürer Garden by the Danube, the market will feature a range of Hungarian artists, designers and small producers offering everything from jewellery and clothing to ceramics, art prints, honey, herbal products and other handcrafted goods.
Rather than the mass-produced products found at conventional markets, Tribal Market focuses on independent creators and small-scale producers.
Among them are jewellery and accessory makers Barka Jewellery, Sziszatoth Jewellery Alchemy and YourCrystal, while ceramics, artwork, wellness products and other creative offerings will also be available.
Art fans can browse linocut prints by Geri Laky and mixed-media works from Kay Roy Vayaro Art and Lucyra’s World of Art, while other stands will include The Cacao Journey and herbal products.
Evening DJ Party
The event will gradually shift from daytime market to evening entertainment, with Budapest-based duo Palo Canto performing a live set. Known for combining indigenous rhythms with electronic production, the duo will bring a multicultural techno-fusion sound to the Dürer Kert garden.
The programme then continues with a 'Pure Lust' party, giving visitors the chance to stay on for dancing and DJ-led entertainment after the market itself winds down.
For expats looking to discover some of Budapest’s independent creative talent while enjoying a relaxed afternoon and evening by the Danube, Tribal Market offers a distinctive shopping alternative to the city’s more conventional weekend events.
