Video: Taiwan Sends 300,000 Masks To Budapest Showing International Solidarity
The capital of Hungary has received a gift of hundreds of thousands of medical masks from Taoyuan City in Taiwan.

The donation was arranged by Taiwan's envoy to Hungary, as Formosa TV English News reports that Budapest is facing a serious shortage of masks.

Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan says he hopes the gift will mark the start of further dialogues and exchanges between the two cities.

The motto on the boxes sent reads "Taoyuan can help." Taoyuan has donated many thousands of masks to countries worldwide. Now with the help of local manufacturer Taiwan Champ, 300,000 have been sent to Hungary.

Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony expressed his gratitude via Twitter:
"Great press event W/ mayor @ChengWenTsan, @TaiwaninHungary & many good friends in Taiwan marking Taoyuan's generous offer of 300k facemasks.

Thank you #Taoyuan, thank you #Taiwan for helping us slow #covid! Budapest is grateful & looks forward 2 expanding our coopearation."
