Updated: F1 Grand Prix In Hungary Set For Sunday, Without Spectators Present

This year’s Hungarian Formula One world championship race will take place on Sunday 19 July, 'behind closed doors'.
Four scheduled F1 races have been cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic concerns.
President Zsolt Gyulay of local organiser Hungaroring Sport said the company was flexible in all respects, since the track is ready, races can be staged here as they wanted to hold the 35th Hungarian Grand Prix if at all possible.
He said epidemiological regulations will be borne in mind, as he confirmed that the race will be held without fans present.

According to the BBC, anyone who violates the 'epidemiological restrictions' of the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix will face severe penalties.
Drivers and team workers from countries outside the EU, plus members of British teams, may not leave their hotels and the 'container city' set up at Hungaroring during the Grand Prix - in accordance with government regulations - apart from when traveling to the race or when leaving Hungary.
Anyone violating this rule may pay a fine of around EUR 15,000 (approximately HUF 5 million) plus they risk a prison sentence, according to a memo sent out by F1’s organisers.
