Operas In Hungary Delayed Due To Covid-19
The Hungarian State Opera is expected to suspend all rehearsals from September 17 to October 1, due to the growing number of coronavirus cases.

As a result, the vast majority of performances will be delayed until October 17, the Opera House announced yesterday.

The decision became necessary because after the choir, the ballet and the orchestra, now the virus has reached the soloists, too.

Not only the performances are threatened, but also the health of artists and the audience, the statement said.

It added that the architecture of the Opera House makes is very difficult to secure protection from this type of epidemic.
