95 Migrants Found In Two Trucks In Hungary
Police discovered 55 illegal immigrants in a Hungarian van at the Inárcsi rest area on the M5 motorway at dawn on Wednesday.

The vehicle was driven by a 52-year-old Hungarian man.

The 55 declared themselves to be Syrian citizens.

Police also discovered 40 illegal immigrants in a truck driven by a Hungarian near Kecskemét early on Wednesday.

Bács county police said in a statement that 40 foreigners had hid in the cargo area of the truck.

The 30-year-old driver from Budapest is suspected of wanting to help the migrants to reach Western Europe unlawfully.

The driver was detained, while the illegal immigrants were questioned.

Police pointed out that human trafficking is punishable by a term of imprisonment of one to five years in a standard case, and 5-15 years in some cases. Organisers can be sentenced to 10-20 years in prison.
