Covid Update: 116,266 Active Cases, 118 New Deaths In Hungary

1,926 new cases were confirmed. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 347,636. The number of deaths stands at 11,066 while the number of those recovered now stands at 220,304.
116,266 is the number of active infected, 4,689 patients are hospitalized, 344 of them are on ventilators.
By Tuesday evening, a total of 86,929 people had been vaccinated, mostly health workers, as well as residents and workers in nursing homes.
The rate and speed of vaccination is determined by the arrival of vaccines. In order to slow down the epidemic and make hospitals more efficient, the protection measures in place so far remain in place and will remain in place until 1 February.
We are now in a new stage of protection against the coronavirus epidemic with the arrival of the vaccine in and the vaccination of healthcare workers.
The goal remains for nurseries and schools to run smoothly and for parents with young children to be able to work.
There is also a curfew between 8pm and 5am, everyone has to get home by 8pm. One case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, needs to be justified.
Police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines, and close places where regulations are not followed.
Soldiers support police work in several cities across the country and relieve the burden on health workers in the hospital.
