FluBot Malware Hit Hungary Hard With Thousands Of Victims
The cybercrime intelligence unit of the National Investigation Bureau has warned that a FluBot malware campaign has hit Hungary hard and there could be hundreds of thousands of victims.

Cybercriminals distributed the malicious software via SMS messages with links to download fake apps of courier services.

By clicking on these sites, unsuspected mobile phone users downloaded malicious files that installed the FluBot malware.

As the sophisticated virus communicates through an encrypted channel, investigators have no knowledge of what information it obtains.

It is widely believed that the source code’s task is to copy the interfaces associated with bank and cryptocurrency user accounts and obtain access codes.

Interpol is also investigating the pan-European scam.
