Home Sales & Lending Surge In Hungary
Home sales were up 41% year-on-year to 15,630 in March, real estate broker Duna House reports. Transactions exceeded the 15,000 level for the first time in ten years.

In the first quarter, home sales were up 21% year-on-year, to a ten-year high of 41,384.

Strong demand is due to the change in housing needs caused by the pandemic, and to home support subsidies, Duna House said, adding that these trends could lead to double-digit price growth.

The housing loan market also experienced a surge in March.

Duna House forecast a monthly Ft 93 billion in mortgage loans, which would be the highest level on record.
