Sziget Festival in Budapest returns from a two year hiatus in spectacular style with a first line featuring the likes of world class headliners Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Kings Of Leon.

Joining them on the Island Of Freedom is a heady mix of some of the best established and up and coming artists in the world today including:

Scotland’s inimitable crooner Lewis Capaldi, world class DJ/Producer Honey Dijon, Scandinavian king of Sad-Boy rap Yung Lean and many, many more.

More than just a music festival, this main local fest an escape from everyday life, where its 'Szitizens' experience the joy of discovery and adventure.

International pop star and critically acclaimed artist Dua Lipa kicks off the main acts at the Island Of Freedom this year.

She's performing hits from her incredibly successful back catalogue. ‘Future Nostalgia’ - her grammy winning second studio album release last year is currently the number 1 longest running album on Spotify’s Global Album Charts, and with a slew of pop bangers including the likes of ‘New Rules’, IDGAF and ‘One Kiss’ the Albanian songstress is sure to delight the Sziget masses.

Needing no introduction Nashville brothers Kings Of Leon are an essential addition to any big festival line-up and are certain to ensure Sziget goes off in true rock and roll style. Earlier this year they became the first band in the world to release their new album - ‘When You See Yourself’ in the form of an NFT, and with a back catalogue recognised the world over they are set to be one of the absolute highlights of Sziget 2022.

Featuring alongside them on the star-studded Sziget 2022 line up are an absolute wealth of the most exciting artists the world currently has to offer with the likes of critically acclaimed rapper Little Simz, much-lauded DJ / Producer Caribou, electronic music sensation Jon Hopkins, hyped New York rapper Princess Nokia, Swedish Sad-Boy Yung Lean, Belgian Rapper Stromae, musical maverick Floating Points, internationally renowned DJ Honey Dijon  and many, many more…

Sziget festival celebrates diversity and community, bringing together people from all over the world and providing a place of freedom of expression, say the organisers.

Over the years Sziget has played host to some of the most prestigious names in music, including the likes of David Bowie, Oasis, IAMDDB, Post Malone, Florence + the Machine, Radiohead, Tove Lo, Foo Fighters, James Blake, IDLES, Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar.

More than just its headliners, Sziget brings together a programme of world music, cabaret, comedy, screenings, workshops, wellness activities, installations, performances and art, as well as boat parties and more at Sziget beach.

Set in the heart of Budapest on Óbuda Island, Sziget is a community built festival and known as the 'Island of Freedom'.

Attended by Szitizens from over 100 countries each year, the festival is dedicated to embracing diversity as a part of its 'Love Revolution', using the power of the community to celebrate and bring love, acceptance, tolerance and freedom to the heart of Budapest and beyond.

Dates: 10 - 15 August. This year is set to be Sziget’s biggest and best festival to date.
