Daily Reporting of Covid Data Ends in Hungary
The coronavirus task force announced yes-terday that its reports on Covid infections are no longer being issued on a daily basis, but on a weekly basis.

They cited “the favourable epidemiological situation” as an explanation for the change.

The task force has provided daily updates on the situation after the outbreak in Hungary in March 2020, although it shared very few numbers, 444 recalls. Then the daily press conferences were suspended and not brought back when the situation was at its worst.

The official death toll for the weekend just past was 65, up from 53 one week earlier.

A total of 2,183 new cases of infection were confirmed, down from 3,325; another 1,310 patients with coronavirus are in hospi-tal, down from 1,460 a week earlier; while 40 are on ventilators, the same number as a week earlier.

To date, 6,407,042 people have been in-oculated, an increase of 1,000 in a week, of whom 6,193,238 have received a second in-oculation, 3,865,508 a third and 289,852 a fourth vaccination.
