Airport Bag Tagging Now Available in Budapest City Center
A self-service baggage drop-off facility opened on 13 June at Kálvin Square in Budapest, where passengers can now print their bag tags easily and simply for certain flights, provided they have a valid boarding pass.

Baggage tagging is available for Wizzair, Air France-KLM, Norwegian and Aegean passengers, enabling them to avoid queuing at the airport and to drop off their baggage themselves at the drop-off counters at the airport.

At Kálvin Square, it is also possible to print the boarding pass and to check in for certain flights.

Budapest Airport is doing its utmost to simplify and speed up airport processes, giving passengers a more comfortable airport experience.

One of these innovations, ahead of many European airports, is that from this summer, for the first time, it will be possible to check in and print the bag tag off-airport, at one of the busiest points of the capital, close to the bus stop of line 100E, which operates to the airport.

Budapest Airport’s aim with this innovation is to minimize queuing at the airport, thereby increasing the airport’s throughput and speeding up processes.

Ferenc Liszt International Airport has achieved a high score in the ASQ international passenger satisfaction survey for the second quarter, largely due to improvements in terminal management.

The average waiting time for security screening is always under 15 minutes, thanks in part to the fact that small electrical devices do not need to be removed from hand baggage before screening.

The speed of the check-in process at the airport is also supported by the 24 bag tag printers located in the departure halls of Terminals 2A and 2B. Ryanair passengers can now check in at both terminals from May, and Budapest Airport’s terminal information staff are also on hand, to help ensure quick passage through the airport.
