A 64-year record was broken on Christmas eve in Budapest when the weather was exceptionally mild for this time of year, reports Index.hu.

Moreover, according to OMSZ, the Hungarian National Meteorological Service, 13.1 degrees C was recorded in Lágymányos (located in the Budapest district of Újbuda) on Saturday 24th of December, a few tenths of a degree above the previous record in the capital.
