Motorway Prices Rise Steeply in Hungary

The price of a one-month motorway vignette rose to Ft 8,900 from January 1, from Ft 5,210 in 2022, and the price of a one-year vignette to Ft 49,190 from Ft 46,850, according to data from toll system operator NÚSZ.
The price of a one-year vignette valid for a single county rose to Ft 5,720 from Ft 5,450.
The one-year national and county vignettes can be used from the first day of the year, or from the date of purchase in the year in question until January 31 of the following year.
Motorists without valid stickers face a fine of Ft 18,750 if settled within 60 days, up from Ft 16,220 in 2022.
The fine rises to Ft 74,970 if payment is made more than 60 days after the violation, an increase of Ft 10,130 from 2022.
