Simple Plan Concert, Budapest Park, 6 June
Simple Plan is one of Canada's best-known bands. The punk-rock band led by Pierre Bouvier last took the Arena stage with Sum 41, and now the unstoppable five-piece return to Budapest Park on 6th June with their sixth album.

Simple Plan was formed in Montreal in 1999. Pierre Bouvier and his band have come a long way in the last two decades: their albums have gone platinum several times, they have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, received numerous awards and nominations and played unforgettable concerts in more than 60 countries.

In Hungary too, there was hardly a music TV station in the 2000s that didn't regularly play their music videos and fortunately they have made several appearances in the country. Most recently they played with Sum 41 in the Arena, and in 2017 they played a solo show in Budapest Park, where they performed their then 15-year-old album No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls.

Last year the band released their sixth album, Harder Than It Looks, which brings the familiar, bouncy Simple Plan energy, with songs that hark back to the band's musical roots.

On the release of the album opener The Antidote, the band said: „The song is a throwback to our classic Simple Plan sound, but with a modern twist. It has all the elements our fans have come to love and expect from our band: a big, energetic chorus and honest and heartfelt lyrics that deal with life and the struggles we all face."

The most important thing for the band is the personal connection with their audience. In addition to the direct connection, they actively seek to help the community, which is why in 2005 they created the Simple Plan Foundation, which focuses on giving back to the community and  showcasing the power of music as a privileged tool to help young people in need find their passion in life.

That's why Simple Plan donates $1 from every concert ticket to the foundation.
