Billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros hands over the reins of his $25 billion empire to his son, Alexander Soros. The Hungarian-American philanthropist was born in Budapest in 1930 and survived the Nazi occupation by hiding his Jewish identity.
He moved to London before settling in New York. Handing over his business to his second-youngest son, Alexander, Soros said that “he has earned it”.
