Top 7 Castles in Hungary
Set in picturesque countryside, Hungary’s historic array of castles reflect the country’s colourful history. Most are national symbols of courage, many are perched on picturesque hilltops, one is nestled by a lovely tranquil lake and another is the guardian of the Danube Bend.

Many of you will have already visited Buda Castle, the former royal palace overlooking Chain Bridge in the capital – now here’s your chance to explore more.

1. Boldogkő Castle: Dating Back to the 1200s

Tucked away in the Zemplén hills, Boldogkő exudes an air of tranquillity and mystery.
