Costes Downtown is a restaurant of Costes Group, located on the ground level of the Prestige Hotel in the heart of Budapest. The Japanese-Hungarian restaurant opened its doors in 2015 and has been listed in the Michelin Guide since 2016, when it was awarded a Michelin Star.

The goal of their young and dynamic culinary team is to provide great dining experiences to a clientele desiring a less formal fine dining connecting with the environment and cultural values.

Costes Downtown restaurant’s cuisine reflects appreciation, respect, and connection to craftsmanship, great culinary art and lived hospitality, coming together to create the ultimate sensory experience, based on quality ingredients, expert techniques, and culinary expertise.



The restaurant’s Executive Chef, Márk Molnár, has worked in several world-class restaurants over the past two decades. He has gained his “worldwide” experience in the top gastronomic establishments of several continents, working in countries such as Spain, France, and Japan.

Now Costes Downtown is launching a new à la carte menu, which will be available for lunch and dinner. Guests can choose from a 2 or 3-course menu, from starters to mains and desserts. In addition, the restaurant will continue to offer a seasonally changing tasting menu with unique flavours to provide an all-encompassing culinary experience.
