Updated: Wizz Air to Resume Budapest-Tel Aviv Flights in March
Hungarian low cost carrier Wizz Air will re-launch its Budapest-Tel Aviv flight on March 1 and operate the service three times a week.

Wizz Air suspended its flights from Budapest and Debrecen on Oct 7 because of the air strikes launched by Israel, the airline said in a statement.

Wizz Air will launch flights to Tel Aviv also from Bucharest, Kraków, London-Luton, Rome-Fiumicino and from Sofia in the spring, it said.

Hungary's Cheap Airline Suspends Flights to Tel Aviv Until March, Other Operator to Resume Flights There Soon

Hungary’s Wizz Air has cancelled all flights to Tel Aviv until March due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Bloomberg reports.

Wizz Air was one of several airlines that suspended flights to Israel after the outbreak of the conflict in October.

CEO József Váradi said in an interview in November that the war must subside before Wizz Air resumes flights to the region.

Germany’s Lufthansa recently announced that it will restart its flights to Israel in early January with 20 weekly flights to and from Tel Aviv, becoming the first major airline to resume flights to the country.
