At Least Another Week of Extreme Heat in Hungary - HungaroMet
The heatwave in Hungary is expected to last at least another week, until August 8 or 9, according to the latest forecast from HungaroMet.

The weather forecasting service said on Facebook on Friday that temperatures could reach or exceed 40C in the afternoon hours, with the heatwave expanding day by day.

Dry, sunny weather is likely to dominate, though short-lived showers may develop or drift in along the northern border over the weekend and on Monday. There is also a chance of heat thunderstorms in some areas in the second half of next week.

Nights will bring little relief, with minimum temperatures staying above 20C over increasing areas, and even above 25C in larger cities, hilly regions, and near waterfronts.
