Hottest July in Hungary Since 1901
This July was the hottest and the seventh driest since 1901, the HungaroMet weather service said.

The median temperature was 24.53 degrees Celsius in July, 3 degrees higher than the average between 1991 and 2020, making it the hottest since 1901, HungaroMet said.

July 2024 was also the 7th driest since 1901, with precipitation levels at 22.2mm, far behind the 71.8mm average of the period between 1991-2020.

In some regions, especially in the west of the country, rain levels remained below 5mm in the month.
