Why Tura Castle Has Closed as Luxury Hotel in Hungary
BDPST, a holding company owned by István Tiborcz, is closing its five-star Botaniq Hotel in the Tura Castle, 60km east of Budapest, website 24 reports.

According to BDPST, the company is only “fine-tuning the business model”, as the 19-room hotel has produced only losses since its opening in 2020.

Instead of a classic hotel-like operation, the focus will on group accommodation services and catering for events.

In other words, 444 adds, the facility will be used for corporate and business events, special events, weddings and cultural programmes.

Most of the workers who have been dismissed have found jobs at other companies within the group, BDPST said.
