Vibe Budapest: New High-End Venue Mixes Fusion Cuisine & Exotic Entertainment
Founder of Sziget Festival and owner of Costes Group, Károly Gerendai spoke to XpatLoop.com about his latest venture, Vibe Budapest - a colourful and luxurious venue set to bring a fresh concept to the city, blending culinary excellence with lively eye-candy.

Here guests will find an exotic atmosphere created by live DJ sets plus regular performances by Colombian dancers and spectacular acrobatic shows, as they enjoy fusion dishes inspired by Asian and South American flavours.

Located on the iconic Széchenyi tér in Budapest’s 5th District, Vibe also offers stunning panoramic views of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle. Expats are warmly invited to, "Step in and leave the ordinary behind".

Following a HUF 1.25 billion investment, the venue, which can host up to 150 guests, will open its doors on 13 December. In a recent interview with Forbes Hungary, Gerendai projected that Vibe could generate annual revenues of HUF 2 billion.

Lifestyle Experience Beyond Dining

This isn’t just a restaurant Gerendai emphasised, it’s an immersive experience that combines gastronomy, entertainment and art with an eye-catching, upscale interior design. As Gerendai describes it,

Vibe Budapest isn’t just a place, it’s a lifestyle. Every visit is special, with something new and surprising each time.”

The menu at Vibe showcases the world’s favourite flavours he told us, carefully crafted from local ingredients and curated by Chef Ruff Dávid, a renowned figure in Budapest’s culinary scene, with experience across Costes, Izakaya, and other prestigious venues.

Ruff's expertise is complemented by Executive Chef Jónás Gábor, whose background includes working with the acclaimed Nobu team.

Vibe Engages All Your Senses

Entertainment at Vibe is a unique fusion of music, dance, and spectacular acrobatics, as XpatLoop experienced at a private function there this week.

So we know what guests can expect: an audio-visual feast, where afro-tribal house rhythms - refined in South America, particularly in Colombia - merge with the energetic beats inspired by Ibiza and Miami.

According to Tamás Kühne, co-owner of Vibe Budapest, “These rhythms form the foundation of our unique atmosphere.”

The evenings are defined by live DJ performances using the latest top sound tech, setting a dynamic tone that's far more engaging than traditional dining options.

Classy Cocktails by World-Class Mixologist

A standout feature of Vibe is its impressive bar, with a signature cocktail menu designed by Marc Alvarez, co-founder of Sips in Barcelona - ranked the best bar in Europe and awarded the title of World’s Best Bar in 2023.

Known for his artistic approach to mixology, Alvarez’s creations promise to elevate Budapest’s cocktail scene to new heights.

Magical Evening Escape - Feel The Vibe in the Heart of the Capital

The soft opening this December begins with evening-only service, operating five days a week, when you can, "Toast to the night and savour the magic".

Plans to expand to lunch service are expected to be announced later this month, offering even more opportunities for expats to experience this exciting venue.

With its combination of fusion cuisine, world-class cocktails, and engaging entertainment, Vibe is poised to become the new go-to venue for expats looking for an exceptional evening out during the festive period, and beyond...

Stay tuned for updates!
