Family-Owned Pastry Maker Opens HUF 1.8 Billion Factory in Hungary to Meet Demand From Abroad
Family-owned pastry and torte maker Kemenes Cukrászmanufaktúra inaugurated a HUF 1.8bn plant in Páty, on the outskirts of the capital.

The government supported the investment with HUF 618m, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said at the ceremony. The investment paves the way for Kemenes to export its products, he added.

The new plant will create 15 jobs.

Kemenes Cukraszmanufaktura has more than 300 business partners and fills around 3,500 orders a month, said managing director Edith Kemenes-Barta. In addition to its plant, Kemenes operates nine pastry shops as franchises, she added.

She acknowledged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for supporting the investment and said Kemenes Cukraszmanufaktura aimed to meet growing demand abroad for its products.
