New Warning Against Dealing with Rogán Issued by US Embassy in Budapest
The US embassy in Budapest on Friday sent a warning to anyone doing business with Antal Rogán, after the US imposed sanctions on the head of the PMO Cabinet Office last week, citing concerns about corruption.

The message on the embassy’s Facebook page read “We encourage those who are in business with Minister Rogán, his many proxies, entities he de facto controls, and those from which he benefits to review their activities carefully”, and referred interested parties to the US Treasury Department for further information.

The Cabinet Office issued its standard statement on the issue, to the effect that the penalty imposed on Rogán is the last petty act of revenge by the outgoing American ambassador, and that President Trump’s new ambassador will strive to build Hungarian-American relations rather than destroy them.
