Number of Jobseekers in Hungary Continues to Fall
The number of jobseekers in Hungary stood at 220,800 in December, down by more than 4,000 from the same month a year earlier, the state secretary for employment policy said on Wednesday, citing data from the National Employment Service (NFSZ).

The December figure was the lowest for the month in more than three decades, Sandor Czomba said. The number fell by more than 4,000 from the previous month, too, he added.

Around 27,000 jobseekers have found work as the result of recently launched European Union-funded government placement programmes, Czomba said.
