Work on Bridge Between Hungary & Slovakia Resumes Following Disputes
The construction of the pedestrian-bicycle bridge across the Danube between Dunakiliti and Dobrohost will resume, as the government has allocated Ft 2.4 billion to complete the project, the Construction and Transport Ministry said.

Work on the Hungarian-Slovak project near Bratislava was suspended at the end of 2023 due to legal disputes between the Slovak partner and a bridge contractor.

The government is providing Ft 940 million this year, approximately Ft 1.4 billion next year and up to Ft 40 million in 2027 for the project.

The costs are split equally between the Hungarian and Slovak governments.
