All Middle East Flights Turned Back by Wizz Air Due to Israel-Iran Conflict
In light of the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and airspace closures, Wizz Air has turned back all its flights to the region with immediate effect or redirected them to an another airport, the budget airline said.

Wizz Air said in a statement that it is keeping close tabs on developments in coordination with the relevant authorities and working tirelessly to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

Monday's flight from Budapest to Dubai landed in Riyadh, its statement added.

Minister highlights economic impact of Israel-Iran conflict on Europe

National Economy Minister Marton Nagy underscored the ways the conflict between Israel and Iran could impact Europe in a post on Facebook.

Nagy warned that the possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which one-fifth of the world's crude production passes, as well as risks to fossil fuel infrastructure in neighbouring Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, could result in supply shortages and drive up energy prices.

A growing military presence around the Bab-el-Mandeb and the Suez Canal and possible blockades could hit trade routes between Asia and Europe, interrupting supply chains and generating inflationary pressure, he said.

He added that a worsening conflict could result in the further destabilisation of the region and produce another wave of migration to Europe, along with a possible increase in the risk of terrorism, he added.
