- 25 Sep 2025 6:21 AM
This event marked the eighth in a series of tribute concerts. While previous gatherings were held at the A38 venue, this edition took place outdoors at Kobuci Kert for the first time. Past concerts focused on Bowie’s relationships with key collaborators such as Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Brian Eno, Bob Dylan, and Marc Bolan.
Among the lineup for this year’s tribute, two performers—Márton András of KFT and Poniklo Imre of Amber Smith—had taken part in previous editions.
On September 24 at Kobuci Kert, the performers also included Martinkó Tamás (Lidérc, Németh Róbert band), Bakó Balázs (Bits), Székely Márton (Superunknowns), Iliás Ádám (Turn Signals), Vikukel Dániel, Szekeres András (Junkies), Czakó Dániel Gravel (Junkies), Hodosi Enikő (Manoya), Debreczeni Dániel (Why Why), Márton Áron, and Lengyelfi Eszter.
David Bowie enjoyed a remarkable career spanning over four decades, excelling across genres like glam rock, art rock, soul, hard rock, dance pop, punk, and electronic music. He passed away from cancer in January 2016 at the age of 69.
This tribute celebrated Bowie’s lasting impact and the unique connections he fostered with fellow artists, brought to life by these talented Hungarian musicians dedicated to keeping his legacy alive.
