Laszlo Palkovics, the government commissioner for AI and the body's chairman, said academia, oversight and other authorities, and business sector organisations were represented on the council.

He added that that suggestions had been made at the council's first meeting to establish Hungary's own cloud-based AI service and accelerate the inclusion of AI in university curricula.
 

Viktor Vajda, the council's secretary general, said the body would propose a regulatory sandbox and a code of ethics.
