‘Night of Art Cinemas’ in Budapest, 17 - 18 May
On 17 May, Budapest’s cinema scene will burst into life for one unforgettable evening – Artmozik Éjszakája (The Night of Art Cinemas) returns!

For one night only, five of the city’s beloved art-house venues – Művész, Puskin, Toldi, Kino Café, and Tabán – will keep their doors open all night long, screening a mix of premieres, festival favourites, cult classics, and standout recent releases.

The concept is simple: buy a single wristband, valid for every screening at every location, and immerse yourself in a cinematic journey that lasts until dawn.

At Művész Cinema, the night unfolds across five screening rooms, with a rich selection of art-house gems, award-winning festival entries, and exclusive premieres. In the Chaplin Room, the programme begins with the debut of If Autumn Comes, followed by Kubrick’s iconic 2001: A Space Odyssey

The Bunuel Room hosts the Hungarian premiere of Leos Carax’s It’s Not Me. Meanwhile, the Huszárik, Bódy, and Tarkovszkij rooms present a blend of stirring films, from Lee and Moments of Paris to the emotionally charged Emilia Pérez. Művész promises a perfect fusion of classics and fresh discoveries.

Kino Café Cinema, nestled in the city centre, offers a warm welcome with two screens and a varied programme. The main hall kicks off with the multi-award-winning It’s Not the Time of My Life, followed by Kálmán’s Day, One Percent Indian, and Radio, airing after midnight.

In the smaller screening room, audiences can enjoy thoughtful titles like Blessed Are the Cheesemakers, I’m Still Here, and the gripping Barbarians at the Gate. For those still going strong by morning, Julie Keeps Quiet and the acclaimed Black Spot will round out the programme.

At Puskin Cinema, three uniquely themed rooms await. The Metropolis Room opens with the premiere of Diamanti, then moves on to the compelling documentary Cologne 75, the tender Perfect Days, and the scenic Breakfast on the Mountain

The Amarcord Room features standout titles like The Future is Ours, The Worst Person in the World, and Lovable. Meanwhile, animation lovers will be drawn to the Körhinta Room’s stunning Japanese line-up, including Kiki’s Delivery Service, The Boy and the Heron, Spirited Away, and Howl’s Moving Castle.

Tabán Cinema offers a more intimate atmosphere while still delivering an exciting film selection. The Kubrick Room begins with the razor-sharp satire Triangle of Sadness, followed by the visually breathtaking Grand Tour and the fantastical Dream’s Hero

Later screenings include Queer and the intense Kinds of Kindness. The Fellini Room features bold storytelling with Deluge, the thought-provoking Four Souls of Coyote, the acclaimed animated film Ruben Brandt, Collector, and whimsical titles such as Robot Dreams and Memoirs of a Snail.

This year’s Artmozik Éjszakája invites you to escape into the magic of cinema – a night of stories, emotion, and discovery, shared with fellow film lovers in the city’s most iconic art cinemas.
