After his sold-out concerts here in 2019 and 2023, British superstar Rick Astley will take the stage on the Jazzpiknik main stage on the opening day, August the 6th in 2026.
Rick Astley was one of the most popular pop singers of the 1980s, best known for his hit song "Never Gonna Give You Up," which won a Brit Award. This was followed by other hits such as "Together Forever" and "Whenever You Need Somebody."
He released a number of compilation albums in the 2000s, and was named the best artist of all time at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2008. His 50th birthday album topped the UK album chart in 2016, and two years later he released another album, Beautiful Life.
Next year, he will embark on an arena tour with his band, Reflection, in the UK and Ireland, and will also perform at a few other European venues, including the Paloznak Jazz Picnic.
Deladap will make up for their Paloznak concert on August 7th, which was scheduled for this summer but was canceled due to inclement weather. The Austrian band, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, has been adding a unique blend of electro, swing and Balkan rhythms to its music since its inception.
Three-time Grammy Award-winning American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater will perform on the closing day of Jazzpiknik, August 8, 2026. As a member of the legendary Thad Jones/Mel Louis Big Band, she founded DDB Records in 2006 in collaboration with Universal Music Group, and her self-produced recordings, such as Dear Ella and Eleanora Fagan, have received several Grammy Awards, nominations and critical acclaim. As an actress, she has previously been involved in numerous successful stage productions, winning a Tony Award in 1975 for her performance in the musical The Wiz.
Also on the closing day, the French band Electro Deluxe, whose music blends elements of soul, funk, swing and hip-hop, led by charismatic showman James Copley, will take the stage. The band was formed in 2001 by drummer Arnaud Renaville, saxophonist Thomas Faure, bassist Jeremie Coke and keyboardist Gaël Cadoux, and has since performed at Marciac, Jazz á Vienne and the Montreal Jazz Festival.
The Paloznak festival offers discounted admission to those under 25.
