Special Women's Day Celebration at Matild Palace Budapest

International Women's Day is a celebration of beauty, strength and inspiration, honouring the role and talents of women around the world. To mark this special occasion, Matild Palace is hosting an elegant gastronomic and cocktail experience this year, where the flavours and fragrances are as sophisticated as the celebration itself.
On the 8th of March, Spago Budapest will offer an exclusive Women's Day menu, while the palace's iconic rooftop bar, The Duchess, will make the evening unforgettable with special cocktail creations and a DJ party until dawn.
A gastronomic experience at Spago Budapest
Wolfgang Puck's Spago Budapest offers a menu created with seasonality and elegance in mind this evening. The celebration dinner starts with a grilled sourdough rye bread, made even tastier with dried tomato and feta butter.
Appetizers star a soft Italian burratina, complemented by roasted eggplant, avocado and crisp baby lettuce. Main courses include a choice of perfectly roasted farmhouse guinea fowl served with broccoli, buckwheat and tarragon beurre blanc sauce, or a rich beetroot risotto with watercress, toasted pistachios and Parmesan foam.
The evening comes to a sweet close with an elegant blueberry Charlotte dessert topped with toasted almond ice cream.
Cocktail specialities at The Duchess Bar
Alongside the flavours, special drinks will also play a central role in the celebrations. Guests at The Duchess will be greeted with a glass of Sparkling Rosé Spritz, made with Whispering Angel Rosé, blackcurrant syrup, rose water and fresh lemon, setting the sophisticated tone for the evening.
Three unique cocktails have been created for the occasion, all inspired by feminine strength, elegance and sensuality.
The Drama Queens is a characterful composition of four small shots with Belvedere 10 vodka, peach and almond puree, vanilla and raspberry foam.
The Boss Lady cocktail will be a favourite of assertive, confident women, as the characteristic notes of Hennessy V.S. are softened with yuzu, passionfruit and honey water. And the Femme Fatal is a truly seductive drink with Volcan Silver tequila, Aperol, lychee liqueur and raspberry sorbet that is both refreshing and elegant. A DJ will set the mood for the evening, so that guests can celebrate in an unforgettable, vibrant atmosphere.
