Watch: Silent Disco Immerses Budapest Museum Visitors in Art of William Blake
Visitors at Budapest’s Museum of Fine Arts were recently invited to experience a William Blake exhibition in an unusual way, through a silent disco staged inside its special gallery space - as the the video below shows.

The "Marriage of Heaven and Hell - William Blake and His Contemporaries" exhibition in Budapest attracted significant visitor interest, culminating in this unique "silent disco finale " on 10 January 2026.

This special event showcased the exhibition's success in drawing diverse crowds to experience the visionary artist's work.

The exhibition  was the most extensive display of Blake's works in Hungary, featuring prints, watercolors, and poems from the Tate collection, highlighting themes of rebellion, spirituality, and mythology.

The "Blake the Silence" silent disco offered a novel way to engage with Blake's art, attracting both art lovers and party-goers, blending culture with music. The art show itself placed Blake's work alongside contemporaries like Turner and Fuseli, contextualizing his genius within British art history.
