Explosives Discovered in Budapest Near Infopark - Old Bombs, New Danger
Hungarian army explosives disposal experts are in the process of removing second world war devices from a construction site in the Infopark area in Budapest's 11th district.

According to military sources, the Soviet demolition grenade, a German anti-tank grenade, and ammunitions were discovered on Wednesday morning, the two grenades in a live state. The devices will be taken away and later destroyed.

On March 10, eight second world war explosive devices were found at the same site and were subsequently removed.

Infopark located on an arms dump where ammunitions and unexploded bombs were collected in 1945. The area had been screened for remaining devices before, but the tests "may have been affected by the area's exceptionally high levels of metal contamination," the military said.
